Latest information for year 3: Thank you for all the hard work on your Romans homework projects, they’re amazing! Next homework project will be coming home soon (don’t worry it doesn’t have to be completed until after Christmas) – shadow puppets! Remember your learning at home! Please read, go on TT Rockstars and Spelling Shed and play 3 games each night. Don’t forget to come in school PE kit on Tuesdays and any days you are in an afterschool sports club. Don’t forget to bring your instruments every Friday for Music. |
Welcome to Year 3!
The staff in this class are Miss Chapman, Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Hogan. We are also supported by Mrs Seton-Jones, Mrs. Lodhi and Miss Birtles.
The Autumn, Spring and Summer pages show you what we have been learning about in class each term. Please click on each term’s pages individually for updated news and phots of all the exciting things we have been up to!
Some handy things to remember:
Bookbags should come into school everyday, with your reading book and reading record in.
Monday – Times tables test.
Tuesday – PE – come to school wearing your PE Kit – black/navy blue shorts, white t-shirt and black pumps.
Friday – Spelling test and new spellings. Music – please bring your instruments!
Forest School – Year 3 will have a Forest Schools later this year. They will need to come to school wearing their Forest School clothes – long trousers, long sleeved top, waterproof coat, wellies or walking boots in a bag, hat, gloves and scarf. It is better to wear more layers, which the children can take off if they get too warm, rather than not enough. If it is sunny they will need a hat and to come to school wearing suncream.
We use these websites at school (children will have a personal login on their login card in their bookbag). In Year 3, we ask children to complete three games of Spelling Shed and Times Table Rockstars each night.

Homework projects will be sent home at the appropriate time within a topic. You have the whole half term to complete these and can be as creative as you like!
