Safe working practice

St James Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and members of the wider school community to share this commitment. For full details of our safeguarding arrangements please refer to our safeguarding policy

Safeguarding Policy

Should you have any concerns relating to the safety and welfare of a child at the school you should immediately contact our designated person for safeguarding Mrs Walker, our headteacher. If Mrs Walker is not available please see Mr Woolley, our deputy head.

Should you have any concerns in terms of safeguarding relating to the behaviour of a member of staff you should contact the designated person above. If the allegation concerns our headteacher you should contact Mr Toms, chair of governors, via the school who will arrange for him to call as soon as possible.

Should you feel that your concerns have not been dealt with appropriately, you should contact the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) who can be found at the following website.
