January 2021 Lockdown

School will be closed to all pupils tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January) to enable us to find out exactly what the implications of tonight’s announcement are for us as a school and to enable us to make plans.
If you consider yourself to be a key worker, please email care@st-james-hyde.tameside.co.uk as soon as possible with the following information… your name, your children’s names and classes, your occupation, what category of key worker you consider yourself to be, the reason why you have no other child care provision (as we would like as many children as possible to be safely at home) and what shifts/days you would require between now and half term.
I am still seeking clarification about Nursery as the advice was a little vague. If your child is in Nursery please let us know whether you need a place or not.
We will deal with the whole Free School Meal issue when we have more information.
Thank you for your patience and continuing support, it is appreciated more than you will ever know. Some headteachers say that being a head is a lonely job but I know how much I am supported by my staff and our families and I know how lucky I am to be able to say that.
I apologise for the lateness of this post and for any inconvenience caused tomorrow. I can’t think of another way to deal with it.
