Welcome to Year Two!
I am Miss Birtles and I will be your teacher this year, and your teaching assistants will be Mrs Malone and Miss Seton-Jones.
The classroom is almost ready for you and we are busy putting names on all of your books, trays and pegs.
We have lots of exciting things planned for you. One of the things I am most looking forward to is reading ‘The Gruffalo’ and doing all of the lovely activities that we have made to go with it.
In Geography we will also be looking at maps of The UK and locating all of the countries and capitals cities that make up the UK, and in History we will be discussing our own past and placing events on a timeline. We will also be finding out more about The Gunpowder Plot.
There is also lots of Maths work to get stuck into with a focus on place value and adding and subtracting.
I hope you are ready for a busy year with lots of fun thrown in too!
